First Submission In – Your Support Needed for the Next Step!

Our submission for the mine permitting process is in! It includes a 76-page memorandum of argument, 2 expert reports, a petition of over 1,300 signatures, and scores of affidavits and impact statements. The overall package totals nearly 2,000 pages.

It shows that the mine permit application fails to meet the standards set by the province and that permits should not be issued for this mine. We demonstrate that:
  • The application is fundamentally unsatisfactory, has numerous inconsistencies and gaps, and lacks necessary detail;
  • The application fails to sufficiently protect the environment; and
  • Multiple breaches of procedural fairness have severely compromised the permitting process.
Our submission is quite an achievement for a small community organization.

Please take a moment now and make a donation at our GoFundMe page to help us continue the work to preserve our environment, health, and way of life.

Thank you for your continued support,
